Due to the legendary, quite possibly misnomer title of the franchise, The Legend of Zelda, some newcomer and almost never longtime enthusiasts have erroneously mistaken Princess Zelda as the principle hero on the series rather then Link or Link's identify getting "Zelda". ??????????
